Born in the slums of Brooklyn with a mother and father who were on the verge of giving up on all hope with their current condition, Tess was a fiery child from the start. She was a hassle to everyone around her especially her parents who took the challenge head on.

She had a knack for doing things on her own and not listening to a thing they said but eventually they got it through to her. That her life wasn't going to be perfect. She wasn't going to be one of those children who lived in a mansion, away from all this chaos. They told her about all the monsters who lurked around at night and would take her away if she wasn't too careful. They also told her about the little magic users around here. At first Tess was skeptical to believe all of this but reality soon kicked it. They were right.

When Tess turned eighteen, things suddenly took a turn for the worse. Her household was broken into on one night when the family was asleep. The noise from glass cracking and doors being violently smashed, woke sleeping Tess. She hid under her bed-- a thing her father told her to do when 'this' happened-- and kept her mouth shut. She could hear cries and screams coming from her parents' room. She knew what was happening and she knew what had broken into her home. Those fucking monsters and she was powerless to do anything about it. After a few agonizing minutes that seemed like hours, the house became eerily quiet. Tess cautiously crawled out from underneath her bed and walked out her room. She didn't want to go to her parents' room but she had to... she had to see what had happened.

She regretted that choice to this very day because there in that room were her parents. Both of them... slaughtered. It was... horrible. Tess was completely frozen. She couldn't move as tears streamed from her eyes. Her parents were gone just like that. The ones who had taught her everything were gone from her life. But... she had to be strong. She had to leave and continue on. Her mother and father didn't want her to be weak. They wanted her to live long and become stronger... and now avenge their deaths. 

So Tess set out. She traveled the streets of Brooklyn, moving from place to place and meeting a bunch of interesting characters. All of them had different stories to share and even one of them told her about the magic again. This time; however, the old man was a magic user himself. His specialty was elemental magic and of course he passed that on to her. He taught her to the best of her ability but before long he passed away due to old age. So now, Tess is on her own with a look of fire in her eyes. She will find her parents' killers and avenge them.

Major Field(s) of Study: Elemental Magic ;; Fire
              Elaboration: Let's be completely honest here, when it comes to Tess's elemental magic, she is pretty much a rookie. The one who had taught her wasn't the best mentor around in Brooklyn and before he could teach her anything more-- he had passed away. However, that didn't stop Tess from continuing to know a little bit more about her elemental powers. She was able to conjure up fire but only on an object so she chose her sword 'Red'. The downfall of her magic (seeing as she knows little so far) is that it only lasts for a short period of time and she won't be able to cast it until that day is over. So Tess has learned how to conjure her 'fire sword' when she needs it most.

              Elaboration: While venturing the streets of Brooklyn, Tess has met some interesting people who knew more about magic. One of them told her about healing and of course she was all ears about this interesting thing.
