my trepidations pound throughout my strained reach
POSITIVE - open-minded - spontaneous - determined - suave - pacifist Elaboration: Fool has always thrown his life into the divine cards after finding his knack for Divination at an early age. He has constructed a makeshift future for himself where he meanders through the Fool's Journey and eventually reaches a sort of enlightenment by eventually transforming into the World. He loves analyzing human relationships. His fondness for connection is emphasized by his spiritual beliefs and his high regard for karma has led him to become a pacifist. | LIKES -polyamorous relationships - not being tied down - empathetic people - apathetic people - observing the natural world - fae folk - boys DISLIKES - war - discrimination - fighting - rebellions - unrest | NEGATIVE - airy - over-emotional - unrealistic - controlling - oblivious Elaboration:Fool's expectation of others' is always high and he dances along the lines of pessimism and optimism on a whim. Unfortunately, he can fall into an emotional train wreck if certain things go awry and he is unable to control it. |

[PTab=BIOGRAPHY]
my dedication may've been overwhelming
history
Fool’s family is one of the wealthiest in Manhattan, due to his grandfather’s knack of manipulating and cheating people in business and his early suicide due to depression—his eldest (and favorite) son, Oren, inherited every cent of his father’s money, leaving nothing for his brother and sister. Oren considered himself an honest man and used his inherited skills with money handling to invest most of the small fortune. The small fortune expectedly grew larger and it was in the midst of Oren’s claim to riches that he fell in love with a quiet, softspoken man. He doted on Corr for quite some time and eventually they decided to spend the rest of their lives together.
Down the road they decided they wanted to raise a kid, so Oren sought a woman (he did his research on personality, medical background, and judged their good looks) to bear their child. Fool was born eight and a half months after being conceived. Oren worked most of the time and came home late most nights, stressed over the greed of his employees and the CEO’s of the companies he invested in. But while he worked, Corr stayed home with Fool and raised him, taught him what it meant to care and speak your mind.
And he taught him about the cards. Corr was a spiritual fellow who believed not in a god, but in fate. Life was a network filled with pleasantries and despairs with given obstacles that could be foreseen through divination. He taught Fool about his chakras and about the energy all beings carried inside of them. He taught him about karma and about the cycle of death and rebirth. Fool was enamored by the artwork on the cards (Corr had a handmade set gifted to him by Oren) and loved listening to Corr talk about the Magician, his particular card depicting a modest looking man standing at a table and tenderly surveying his chalice, rowan wand, dagger, and smoothed, rounded stone, waiting for travelers to begin their journey by bestowing upon them these very items. And he loved listening about the High Priestess, a seductive, proud woman who stands on a throne with her head held high, one hand offering a scroll to the traveler in hopes to make his new items make more sense.
But mostly he liked the stories of the Fool, the first card in the deck. “If he’s the first card, why does it say zero?” Fool had asked, pointing with a finger at the bottom of the card. To which Corr explained that the Fool marked the time before the beginning, the moment before he stepped onto his journey through the Major Arcana cards. So when Corr allowed young Fool to pull from the deck for the first time in an attempt to find his self card, it was no surprise to see he drew the Fool. Overjoyed, Fool adopted the name immediately and insisted that both of his fathers refer to him as such. Oren had raised his brows when approached, looking over Fool’s short head to shoot a glance at Corr, who only shrugged with a smile on his face.
He’d watched Corr do readings for the older man’s friends, but he was still wary when he was gifted his first set of cards. They were like Corr’s in the sense that they were handmade, but the cards themselves were much different. Where Corr’s were made with all sharp edges and thick lines, Fool’s deck displayed images of mermaids and wood nymphs, fairies and elves, splashed with magnificent pigmented watercolors. He held the deck in his hands gingerly and Corr said, “Your aura will become more comfortable with it over time. Feel the deck’s personality. I know you can tell it’s quite different from mine.” And it was true. This deck was softer and more playful than Corr’s. It was elegant and humble and Fool knew it would be tricky to uncover the meanings from this deck.
It was through the divination cards that his powers emerged. Oren had appeased his son and allowed him to do a reading (“I’ve gotten a lot better now, I promise,” he begged) and it was then when Fool was shuffling the deck, reaching through the different points of his chakra to get closer to the cards, that he felt something brush up against him. Surprised, he opened his eyes and Oren gasped, nearly knocked off of his chair. Fool’s eyes glowed a bright blue. With a few confused blinks, they went back to normal, but Fool himself knew something was off. He looked down at his hand and saw the familiar ethereal man standing with two swords at his back, three red birds circling around him with long, sharp tails. The five of swords. “Someone’s going to try to trick you in the future, father. Or hurt you? I don’t know,” he said. Whispering voices that he could hardly make sense of were brushing his mind; it was a familiar presence, but he’d never felt anything like it before.
Corr had been watching over Oren’s shoulder. “Do you think--?” he said and looked at their son again.
Fool eventually grasped the reins of his power. Corr marveled at his son’s ability to see, sense, and manipulate auras. So he helped his son along the way with learning how to control these powers. But it was a year later, when Fool was doing a reading for a friend, that he tried something new. He attempted to manipulate his companion’s aura to touch the cards, if only curious to see the effects. Nothing seemed to happen so Fool let it go, but he was puzzled to see that one of the cards, the Tower that had been drawn, was glowing its typical purple aura, but his companion’s own yellow was swimming in its midst. He asked his friend if he was alright, but he couldn’t answer. He swayed on the spot and collapsed.
It was only after a few Divination and Aura Manipulation classes that Fool learned the extent of his powers. His pacifism arose quickly from there.

Major Field(s) of Study: Divination and Aura Reading
Elaboration: Fool has a knack for asking questions of the universe and actually getting answers back. His tarot cards, while aren't necessary to divination, are his most powerful assets when seeing the future. Without his deck, it's nearly impossible for him to get a clear answer and even then, the future isn't always set in stone. On top of divination, Fool also has the ability to read auras and, to a certain extent, manipulate them. He can gather general information from someone's aura and, being the nosy prick he is, likes to do so if he can get his hands on it. He can see an aura from any reasonable distance, but in order to read an aura, he must be at least a foot away. In order to manipulate aura, he must be touching the target although this skill is lacking due to the fact that he's never dared to try it again.
Minor Field(s) of Study: Alchemy
Elaboration: While he's not particularly the person who does the actual alchemy, he's picked up a few things from his partner-in-crime, Bailey.
